Claire L ( Donkey)

Lawyer: Please state your name
Donkey: Donkey, Loyal peasant on land of King John
L: What is your relationship with King John?
D: I am a peasant to his land. I work hard to please him
L: Is he happy with the hard work you devote to him?
D: He has not had time with all the work he puts into being King and all
L: Would you say one of the things taking up his time is charging unfair taxes?
D: Taxing does take up his time, but I believe it is fair
L: Would you also say that his interfering with issues and affairs of the Catholic Church fair?
D: I would not. But I would not say it is unfair either. As the king, he has many rights.
L: What do you mean when you say you would not say it is fair?
D: I would not say interfering is fair, but I do not think he is “interfering” but merely being king.
L: Okay, very interesting. Do you have an opinion about unlawful treatment of knights?
D: I have not had the experience of being a knight, but King John, Ruler of this Great City, Is just preparing the knights for what might happen. Im sure he is doing everything best for the knights.
L: You seem to be strongly supporting King John.
D: Certainly, I have no reason not to. He is a fair king who only does the best for his people.
L: What do you thing people mean when they talk about improper seizure of land belonging to English Lords and Barons?
D: I disagree. It is not unfair seizure if the land rightfully belongs to him.
L: Thank you for stating your opionion
